Chalk Group Lithostratigraphy: Northern England - High Stacks Marl

A c. 20 mm thick grey, silty marl, c. 3.5 m above the top of the High Stacks Flint, and typically seen as a deep groove in coastal sections (Whitham, 1993).

Macrofossil Biozonation: upper M. coranguinum Zone (= Upper Hagenowia rostrata Zone of Whitham, 1993)
