Chalk Group Lithostratigraphy: Northern England - Melton Ross Marl

A green-brown, c. 100 mm thick marl (Wood & Smith, 1978), equated with the Southerham Marl 1 in the basal Lewes Nodular Chalk of southern England., and the Mt. Ephraim Marl of the East Anglian Chalk Group succession (Mortimore & Wood, 1986).
