Chalk Group Lithostratigraphy: Northern England - Sub-Black band Erosion Surface

The erosion surface beneath the Black Band is co-extensive with the sub-Plenus erosion surface of southern England, and marks the top of the Ferriby Chalk Formation (Gaunt et al., 1992).
