Summary

description {{|1=Western Granite crags on the north side of Orval, overlain by lava flows of the Lower Fionchra and Orval members (Canna Lava Formation) forming dark exposures towards the end of the cliff. Fionchra is in the middle distance (note the cliff of tholeiitic andesite) and the Skye Cuillin is visible on the horizon. Note the moraine-dammed lochan.
