Summary

description
English: Figure 7 An isochore map of the Scremerston Coal Group and its equivalents. Thicknesses are in metres. The increase in thickness to the south may relate to increasing differential subsidence between the Mid North Sea High and the Southern North Sea Basin. Note the continuing strong differential subsidence between the Alston Block and the Stainmore Trough. The contouring ignores the thick Scremerston facies at well 41/10-1, which is regarded as a facies equivalent of thick Fell Sandstone channel sands in other wells.
