This biomarker occurs in the Lamplugh Formation (early Coniacian, M. cortestudinarium Zone). The species is extremely rare in Britain, but it has been recorded in the lower M. cortestudinarium Zone (Bailey et al., 1984), and in Germany its range is given as "Ober Turon" (Koch, 1977).

Correlation: This biomarker can be placed in the BGS foraminiferal Biozone 13 (Wilkinson, 2000).
