Where developed, this unit is synonymous with the Glauconitic Marl of the Southern Region Chalk Group. The Glauconitic Marl thins north-east of Princes Risborough [SP 80 03], and at Barton-le-Clay [TL 08 32] passes abruptly into the Cambridge Greensand (Wood, 1996).
