EXCURSION SECRETARY : MARK WILKS, 24, Lower Clapton Road, N.E.

Train, London Bridge 9.7 a.m. ; arrive Brighton 10.41. Cheap day tickets, fare 5s. 4d. Members should meet the Excursion Secretary at Booking Office not less than fifteen minutes before departure. Walk along cliff edge to Rottingdean, visit shore, collect from the Actinocamax quadrates zone of the white chalk. If time allows continue walk along cliff to Portobello and Telscombe Stairs and collect from the higher beds of the same zone.

Return to Rottingdean, where tea can be obtained, after which, walk into Brighton. If found convenient the motor-bus to Rottingdean may be taken in either direction.

Total walking distance eight miles. Return trains from Brighton 7.30 and 8.30 p.m., arrive London Bridge 8.55 and 10.2 respectively.
