Director, G. MACDONALD DAVIES, F.G.S.

Near Wallington Bridge, on the Wandle, a group of springs will be seen at the junction of Chalk and Thanet Sand.

Messrs. Clack & Sons' pit at Beddington will be visited. Thanet Sand is worked here for brick-making.

Tea will be taken at the Plough Inn, Beddingrton, at 6 p.m., after which Mr. PRESCOTT now will exhibit some of the flint implements of various types which be has found on the surface of the fields in the neighbourhood. On the way to Waddon Station the path by the Wandle will be followed, and more springs will be seen.

Return train, Waddon, 7.33 or 8.21; Victoria, 8.10 or 9.3 ; London Bridge, 8.38 or 8.54. Fare, 1/4½. Walking distance, 8 miles.
