Biostratigraphical correlation: Equates to an interval from within the U. anglicus Zone to a little above the Subzone of abundant O. pilula of current usage (Young & Lake, 1988).

Lithostratigraphical correlation: Equates with the middle part of the Newhaven Chalk Formation of southern England.
