Biostratigraphical correlation: Equates with an interval from within the U. anglicus Zone to the top of the O. pilula Zone of current usage (Young & Lake, 1988).

Lithostratigraphical correlation: Equates with the middle to higher part of the Newhaven Chalk Formation of southern England.
