Definition: The zone equates with the interval between the first and last occurrences of Trigonosemus pulchellus, and is probably only partly represented in the Norfolk succession, since it equates with the youngest exposed chalk (Johansen & Surlyk, 1990).
Biostratigraphical correlation: The zone equates with the highest part of the exposed B. occidentalis Zone of the standard macrofossil biozonal scheme.
Lithostratigraphical correlation: The zone equates with the Beacon Hill Grey Chalk Member (Johansen & Surlyk, 1990).
