Rocks in your eyes and Rocks in your hands

By Jane Robb

'Rocks in your eyes' won the Rockwatch under–12s Rockhound of the Year prize in 1999 for Jane Robb, then a schoolgirl in Scotland.

Jane started collecting rocks at an early age and developed her interest to become a knowledgeable and enthusiastic geologist. 'Rocks in your eyes' and its sequel, 'Rocks in your hands', are Jane's journals describing her geological experiences. Jane went on to win Rockwatch's 'Rocurator of the year' and the overall title 'RockStar 2002'.

Jane has started a new project, producing a Thin Section Colouring Book, for amateur geologists to download and use to brush up on their optical microscopy, or simply be inspired by beautiful thin section images!
