Biostratigraphical correlation: Equates with a variable interval (depending on how Rowe defined the top of the underlying M. cortestudinarium Zone) from the top of the M. cortestudinarium Zone/within the basal M. coranguinum Zone to the top of the M. coranguinum Zone of current usage.

Lithostratigraphical correlation: Equates with a variable interval (depending on how Rowe defined the top of the underlying M. cortestudinarium Zone), from the top of the Lewes Nodular Chalk Formation/within the basal Seaford Chalk Formation to the top of the Seaford Chalk Formation of southern England.

Age: Late Coniacian & Early Santonian.
