Biostratigraphical correlation: Equates with the T. lata Zone and basal S. plana Zone of current usage.

Lithostratigraphical correlation: Equates with the New Pit Chalk Formation and lower part of the Lewes Nodular Chalk Formation in southern England. Rowe (1900) placed the top of this zone at the Bridgewick Marl (Wood, WH/95/31R).
