South-west England Chalk Group Lithostratigraphy: Jukes-Browne & Hill, 1903, 1904 - Cenomanian Limestone Bed B
Unit B is a hard, whitish, gritty limestone, typically with green-coated nodules at the top, characterised by the echinoid Holaster subglobosus (Jukes-Browne & Hill, 1903).
Macrofossil Biozonation: Modern biostratigraphical studies indicate assignment to the M. dixoni Zone and A. rhotomagense Zone (Wright & Kennedy, 1984)
