Unit B is a hard, whitish, gritty limestone, typically with green-coated nodules at the top, characterised by the echinoid Holaster subglobosus (Jukes-Browne & Hill, 1903).

Macrofossil Biozonation: Modern biostratigraphical studies indicate assignment to the M. dixoni Zone and A. rhotomagense Zone (Wright & Kennedy, 1984)
