Biostratigraphical correlation: Equates with the upper U. anglicus Zone, O. pilula Zone and lower G. quadrata Zone (Hagenowia Horizon) of current usage (Young & Lake, 1988).
Lithostratigraphical correlation: Equates with the greater part of the Newhaven Chalk Formation and the basal part of the Culver Chalk Formation of southern England.
