For most waterpoints, the database includes information on functionality and whether the source is used for drinking water supply; and for some entries there is information on pump type; depth of borehole or well; whether water is available year-round or not, and how long it is typically dry for, if seasonally dry; reason for non-functionality; qualitative water quality information, (eg 'colored, 'bad taste', 'salty', 'red'); and whether a water quality sample has ever been taken (but not the results of sampling). There is no geological log information for any of the boreholes or wells, and no direct measurement of groundwater (rest/static) level.
