The style used should make the meaning clear and be appropriate to the intended readership.
Write in full sentences; dropping ‘understood’ words and phrases may prove ambiguous to the reader.
Avoid the use of symbols (> < = ?) in running text, but they may be used with brackets and in equations. Use ‘about’ or ‘approximately’ instead of ‘c’.
