Mount Quarry, Balluderon Hill. Typical sequence in the shale-flagstone beds of the Dundee Formation, Lower Old Red Sandstone. Beds of shale and siltstone alternating with beds of fine-grained flaggy sandstone form the overburden to the worked flagstones at the base of the section.
