Thematic groundwater maps are designed to highlight particular aspects of groundwater. They can be at different scale - continental, regional, national or sub-national - depending on their theme and purpose. Thematic maps may be used as part of groundwater management or general planning at various scales, or may be used for advocacy.
This list includes some regional and continental scale thematic groundwater maps in Africa. This is not a comprehensive list. If you know of maps that aren't on this list but should be, please let us know! Email us: AfricaGWAtlas@bgs.ac.uk
