No full points with any abbreviations or contraction, with the following exceptions: • e.g. • i.e. • et al. • No. (number) • a.m. and p.m. • p. Ampersands (&); use them only as part of a recognised name or title, e.g. Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform. Exceptions: use & in titles or menu items to reduce line length to make them fit.
