Biostratigraphical correlation: Equates with the topmost G. quadrata Zone and B. mucronata Zone, or is co-extensive with the B. mucronata Zone of current usage (Griffith & Brydone, 1911; Brydone, 1912; Wood, WH/95/31R).

Lithostratigraphical correlation: Equates with all but the basal part of the Portsdown Chalk Formation of southern England.

Age: Campanian
