The Yarborough Marl, named after Yarborough Earthworks overlooking Melton Ross Quarry [TA 086 115], is a 0.25 m thick marl complex just below the Ferruginous Flint, typically forming a marked recess in quarry faces (Gaunt et al., 1992).
