This lists national (country) scale groundwater maps in Africa. Most of these are traditional hydrogeological or groundwater resource maps. A few focus on particular themes related to groundwater.

10 maps of main aquifers in 10 African countries	1977	1:5 million	BRGM	Paper	Funded by EEC and FAC (French Fund for Aid & Cooperation). Based on inventory of documents from CNRS, UNESCO & BRGM. They represent the main continuous & discontinuous aquifers, graded according to facies, mean thickness, overall groundwater flow rates, and water quality.

A number of other maps at a national or sub national scale were produced and/or edited by BRGM between 1952 and 2010, mainly for Sahelian countries (see the map below). These are held in BRGM archives, usually as pdf images; a few are in paper (hard copy) format only. Also in BRGM's archives are more groundwater maps produced by other organisations, most of which are in paper format only. When available, the details of these maps will be added to the lists on this page.

The number of groundwater maps produced and/or edited by BRGM in African countries between 1952 and 2010. These maps are held in BRGM archives.
