Biostratigraphical correlation: Equates with all but the highest part of the current Subzone of abundant O. pilula (Young & Lake, 1988).

Lithostratigraphical correlation: Equates with the upper Newhaven Chalk Formation and, locally, also the lower part of the Culver Chalk Formation of southern England.

Age: Campanian
