Biostratigraphical correlation: Equates with an interval in the lower part of the B. mucronata Zone s.l.

Lithostratigraphical correlation: Equates with the Pre-Weybourne Chalk _3-4 interval (Christensen, 1995). Christensen (1995) did not examine Belemnitella from Pre-Weybourne Chalk _1-2, which have traditionally been included in the B. mucronata Zone s.l..

Age: Upper Campanian.
